5SOS

Scoring a ticket from good old' gumtree the night before the gig of rocking Australian band who go by the name of 5 Seconds of Summer made for a night of broken tires, moshpit fights, some rockin' moshin' a 1:30am finish and countless memories Emily, Brooke, Olivia and myself will forever cherish.

Preparing for our 2 and a half hour car trip to the Enmore Theatre, courtesy of Emily's Mum, the girls and I has a major setback within the first 50 minutes of the trip, yeah, you guessed it, a flat tire. After pulling over on the road a lovely and quiet lanky tradie stopped to help us on our journey. With the tire taking a little longer than we expected to be put on, we all started to freak out that we would be late, and by freak out I mean dance on the road. The tire finally was placed on and back on the road we all went.

Arrival at the Enmore never felt sweeter (except that time I went for Earlwolf and Earl) as we got there in the nick of time! Standing at the back of the mosh, our first thoughts were 'why are there so many god damn parents here?!' then we all agreed that they had to bring their twelvie daughters. Never have I seen the enmore so full of screaming girls, it was insane. After having a lovely chat with a worker about the Earlwolf concert, the lights suddenly dimmed and the screams got loudly if anything. The four western sydney boys shone through the light like four guardian angels,Ashton, Calum, Luke and Michael being the cutest one.

Starting the night off with the track Eighteen, the crowd roared and for a solid few minutes, I really couldn't feel the soothing voice known as Luke Hemmings. The energy from the girls was truly breathtaking and amazing that the boys are Australian born and raised! The night continued on with tracks like Voodoo Doll, Lost Boy, Amnesia, Heartbreak Girl and the classic cover of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream.

A real feeling of intimacy approached as the boys asked everyone who has a mobile phone or any electronic devices as there were many iPads in my face, to turn them off as they played the song Disconnected, cute right? Of course, the night would not be complete without myself getting in a fight with someone, and of course it happened. I mean, when you leave the most pit, you leave and your spot is gone, but the lady didn't wanna have it.

The went on with Calum's harmonic voice, Luke's sweetly tuned vocals, Michael's slaying guitar skills and of course, Ashton banging the hell out of the drums. The boys played great together and the energy they gave on stage was incredible, especially those synchronized jumps.

Playing their biggest single right now, She Looks So Perfect the boys were over sung by the crowd which was a truly beautiful thing to watch. Experiences at concerts like that actually rock. You would have believed the night ended there, but the boys came back and did What I Like About You and Try Hard the for the encore, heck yeah!

The night ended with the casual waiting at the back door of the Enmore for an hour before the girls and I all embarked on the trip home, but not without stopping at the classic twin servos for a maccas run! The night ended at 1:30am when we all returned back to the awfully dreadful Newcastle. 5sos put on an incredibly awesome show and forever greatful we all attend.

COACHELLA.

And that time has come around again, where Aussies all over Australia have a silent sob at the fact that we don't host an annual, two weekend three day arts and music festival known as Coachella. Held in California, Coachella is the host to many musical gods who fit into genres ranging from indie to hip hop to rock and then to electronic music. With the sea of music lovers, fashion lovers and the odd celebrity here and there, the festival is something to never be missed with stellar musical line-ups that magically get better each and every year. This is no different in 2014 with the musical likes of HAIM, OutKast, fellow Australian Flume, Muse, A$AP Ferg, Grouplove, Ellie Goulding, Zedd, Bastille, Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Adventure Club, The Internet, Arcade Fire, Muse, Pharrell Williams, Foster the People, Lorde, Kid Cudi, Fatboy Slim and MGMT just to name a few, on this years lineup. To me, the festival has something for everyone! The fashion also gets me very excited. With majority of your average Hollywood celebrities glamming themselves up for the festival, its fun trying to guess who will be looking smokin' and who will be a hot mess. Its definitely a dream to attend this festival when I finish school, the atmosphere must be absolutely insane and captivating. I think I speak for majority of people when I say I would sell an arm or foot to attend Coachella, so if you're going, enjoy, make sure you dance your life away and wear your best killer outfit for all of us non attenders!

EARLWOLF 2013.

When I heard that both Earl and Tyler were coming to Australia with fellow members, Jasper Dolphin and Taco, I knew it would be a show I wouldn't want to miss out on. Earlwolf 2013 was the most exhilarating concert I have ever attended, and boy have I been to a few. Being held at the Enmore Theather in Newtown, Sydney, with a sold out crowd and passionate fans who know the words to every song thrown at them, what is a better concert experience?

The night started out with a crazy battle through the mosh pit for that front row position that everyone desires at concerts. With quick small talk with few people in the crowd, the lights dimmed and after being half an hour late to his dj set, Taco finally appeared. Playing paper planes by M.I.A. and a remix of Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi, the intro song WOLF, from Tyler's third solo album, played. The beat then suddenly changed to the start of French! by Tyler and then it happened. Everything in the room stood still and there they were, Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt infront of me, performing, with Taco behind the dj stand and Jasper being the greatest hype man to date. The crowd went crazy screaming along with every word that came from Tyler's mouth.

The energy from everyone in that room was absolutely crazy. With the combination of Tyler's majestic performing and communication with the crowd, Earl being the better rapper of the two who never missed a beat and not to mention Jasper Dolphin putting light to a blunt on stage at which everyone seemed to enjoy with chants of laughter. In between the words 'fuck' 'shit' and 'hell yeah', there was a real intimate moment when Tyler performed IFHY, which to me, is something so beautiful that I couldn't begin to describe even if I tried too. That song can relate to so many people, on so many different levels and to just see Tyler's emotions whilst performing it, was incredible.

The night carried on with songs like Jamba, 48, Answer, Sam is Dead from Tyler's side and Whoa, Hive and Blade from Earls side to which everyone knew every single world like their life depended on it. The crowd got a special suprise when Earl played new songs Burgundy and Molasses which are now on his first solo album, Doris. With the two pairing together to play classic Earlwolf songs such as AssMilk and Orange Juice.

The night ended in an encore performance of Tamale to which the crowd went full on crazy. I have never seen so many people in one veracity of space so engaged and hyped up about something. The night ended in Tyler screaming out 'I FUCKING LOVE YOU SYDNEY, GOOD NIGHT.' Oh, and he did also take his shirt off. All in all, Earlwolf was a standout time of 2013 for me and the best concert I have experience.

The Enmore provided an amazing venue and being in that crowd was amazing. To think that everyone in that room shared one common interest of people on stage doing their job, its amazing. I hope you all one day have the chance to experience your favourite musician in concert because it is a truly breathtaking adventure.
